Kangaroo!!!!!
It was cute! we dont mention the other one that keeled over when i approached it...... Well hello everybody!
I apologise for the long pause, I have been quite busy recently! I am in airlie beach already but there is much to tell so I have splitup the journals!
well, starting back in Brisbane, we were helping set up a new shop, which just included unpacking and pricing stuff, easy work for the money! But unfortnately, this finished 4 days early, although it meant we could add in rainbow beach! We were working with some really nice Irish people who were in our hostel and were a good laugh to work (and socialise!) with! we moved hostel half way through though as I woke up with a cockroach on my headboard and Laura had been bitten by bed bugs! hhmm.....
Whilst in Brisbane we went to Australia Zoo, this is one of the things I was looking forward to since we booked our tickets, its Steve Irwins zoo, and there is steve irwin everywhere! When we went, it was half term and for the big daily shows in the crocoseum (a 5000 seater arena) we had Terri and Bindi Irwin do the show! it was really cool, and as far as we know everyone
Australia Zoo
They had a memorial wall and his life in pictures around the zoo else that has visited the zoo hasnt had the pleasure! lol! I got to hold a Koala, which was very cute, even though we got an old grumpy one and it also pooed on my nice white t-shirt! we also fed kanagaroos, they are really tame at the zoo but really sweet! The zoo is good as they are all about protecting the animals and trying to educate people about the environment and their habitats, and they are really passionate about it! It was an amazing day!
We then returned to Noosa which is a small beach town but we had cloud! LOL! it was really good being by the beach again though! The hostel we stayed in was surrounded by trees and forestry and looked like the dirty dancing house when you walked up to it (danielle I know you in Particlur will appreciate this!), it was a short stay but Noosa is upmarket touristy so it is lovely! and we saw a proper wild koala sitting in the tree in the national park, which had loads of little secluded beaches as you walked round it and a dolphin look out point but we didint see any!
The Crocoseum
Terri Irwin doing the croc show so after this, we went to Rainbow beach, which is a really small town with about one restaurant and only old man fishing bars! It is however, gorgeous! It is called rainbow beach because of all the different coloured sands, and literally when you trode on the sand, the sand underneath would be a different colour. We went to Carlo Sandblow (which we are pretty sure is another word for Sandune!) whihc went right donw to the sea but is huge, and we tried walking up the side but only made it half way! and sat there in the rain eating our lunch but it was lovely! There was actually opthing else t odo in thsi tonw, but it was nice ebing somewhere small, and the highlight was going to the beach and there being a shark warning! Fantastic!
So that was over the space of 8 days and there is still more to update you all on! so keep tuned! it takes me ages to upload photos you see!
