Today we were scheduled to explore the Daintree Rainforest which adjoins Port Douglas and is 100 million years old. But, due to the heavy torrential rains we were experiencing, several of us decided to travel to the city of Port Douglas, walk around this upperclass city and find a local pub to watch the Super Bowl. It was a very pleasant day and a relief from the go-go schedule we were on every day.

The group was equally split between the Patriots and the Falcons, with those from the Northeast happy with the result, but all of us happy to have been together.

Tomorrow we fly to Sydney for our last few days in Australia. Then, on to New Zealand.
