Daintree Village
We stopped at this Cafe for coffee. Had to get a photo in front of a Barramundi
Hi all, today we are based in Port Douglas. We woke up to rain. I think the locals call it showers. Well I call it RAIN. It stops and starts. It might be showers but I don't like them. Anyhow we did not let the weather stop us. We decided to book for a train and sky rail journey for tomorrow. Today we headed towards the Daintree village, in serious rain. What hope do we have. Well it wasn't too bad. When we got to the village it had stopped raining, ohh sorry showers. Well Tonina was immediately attracted to the coffee machine at the local pub so we stopped there for morning tea. Then we booked a trip on a small flat bottomed river boat. The showers had stopped for a little while. Anyhow we booked a 1 hr tour on this boat with a second tour from a different point down river. Anyhow they told us we might see crocodiles. I didn't really believe them. Anyhow we got on the boat at 11am With 10 others. We saw 3 crocs. Up close. Scary. Once we finished this trip it was time for lunch and we had a seafood lunch
Daintree Village Cafe
Sitting on timber chairs and table at the local hotel. Once we finished we went to the entrance to the ferry across the Daintree river. This is where we picked up the second boat. We saw another 4 crocodiles one was a small juvenile. The crocs were very used to the boats and were not scared which is why they were not shy of a cruise boat getting close. mind you it rained, sorry showered, while we were on the boats. Good thing they had covers.. I was nearly going to wear my poncho but I would have looked like a dork.

Awesome!
We went on the same boat last year. The kids loved the crocs. Great to see that you and Tonina are having a lovely time, rain notwithstanding.
