Edit Blog Post

Its Marcus, making my first official blog entry from OZ. Mum and I arrived safe and well, can't actually belive I am here. We arrived and went straight off to the mountians, was quite interesting but realy wanted to freshen up so went for a swim on the beach as the sun went down. The appartments are amazing, kind of undersold by the others, realy modern and amazing circular bath tub and balconys. Just been out for dinner, and maybe its jetlag or maybe excitment, but lauren and I have come to the web cafe while the others go to sleep. Appart from dad, who is making another work call- sabatical? Will post more after Ayers Rock, as the only web cafe there cost $18 per hour, will just make lots of mental notes and fill in when we get to Sydney. Lots of love. x

Hurried Schedules !!!!!!!!
MARCUS - We have just read your first blog and marvel at (a) the resilience of the Aitmans and (b) a request to know who was your tour manager. i.e. the person who decreed a trip of over 12000 miles followed almost immediately by a further trip of (maybe 800 ?) to Ayer's Rock and called it a HOLIDAY !! Hopefully Marcus and Marianne have recovered from their jet lag after their long trip via Sydney to Cairns and can now start to enjoy the trip.

hey aitman-athertons ;)
it sounds like you are all having so much fun! you proabably won't get this before you leave 'the reef' so i hope you enjoy ayre's rock - charlotte koff spent about an hour telling me how amazing the hotel you are staying in is - it does sound incredible... just make sure you take loads of pics! by the way marcus, i gave becky her letter and i ran out of blog cards in about 2 minutes so you should be getting quite a few people logging on! joe was particularly interested, although he might have been inspecting the paper to see if it had been recycled! poppy was also really interested, but i think she was more fascinated by the picture on the front than anything else! i'm looking forward to the next entry! ben

Arrival
So pleased to hear you arrived safely Marcus and Marianne. Hope everyone is ok and by now you are probably at Ayers rock. Will have to get a copy of the itinerary from Athertons. Anyway, continue to enjoy every minute. Dave, you better look up the meaning of the word "sabattical"! Will try and get in touch again soon. Got our e-mail working again today after a week, but am not confident it will work again. Off to Ireland next week probably the 13th so will be in touch from the internet cafe in Ballinskelligs! Lots of love to all.

thanks for the call
Well done for the birthday call. Katie was gobsmacked! She is having a great birthday and is off to Norfolk for a weekend with some friends (and Hil and I). Just thought I would let you know I shut the window. It is in the roof void behind the loft. Left airvent open. All fine at yours! Just watch Federer destroy Bjorkman. He is tooooo good. Sounds like your having fun! It's very quiet without all of you! Look forward to next up date. M
