It's been a bit drizzly here today after heavy rain last night. We had to go to Cairns to have the brakes seen to so we spent the time in the mall, out of the rain and in air conditioning, had our lunch there, then picked up the motor home - all done - and we're now we're back at Port Douglas.

We've enjoyed our time here. Sunday we went to the markets, always good. Tropical fruits and plants to buy, paintings, clothes, massages, jewellery, it's all there. As is the whole of this top area, it was crowded. There is always a service at the same time at St Mary's by the Sea, the little interdenominational church at the edge of the markets and the little church is always packed.

Yesterday we walked a little way along Four Mile Beach, not that far from the caravan park. There were just a handful of people in the water but a few on the beach. We walked a way up the cliff at the end to get good photos of the beach. Rather than swim in the ocean, I had a dip in the caravan park pool when we got

There are always nice orchids and fruit for sale here
back.

Tomorrow we head for the Daintree for a couple of days. I hope the weather will be back to lovely!
