moving on...

tuesday was my last day in port douglas 😞 so, of course, i was on the beach by 9.00am and spent the whole day sunning myself and swimming in the beautifully clear, warm sea! (are ya all jealous?!) had the nicest time, didn't see a cloud all day, and in the evening i went out for dinner and a few drinks with the girls from my room. was a really good last day, and in all honesty i was totally gutted to be moving on. i think i could have quite happily stayed in port douglas for weeks and weeks on end!!! still, that isn't the point of travelling, or so i'm led to
believe 😊

on thursday morning i walked up to the look out point in port douglas - there are some amazing views of the town/village and beach from up there. that was my tourist piece for the day 😊 by the time i'd got back from there i had to get my bus - next stop, mission beach. mission beach is a sleepy little place about 4 hours south of port douglas. there isn't much going on there, unless you want to do uber crazy things. like jumping out of airplanes. or white water rafting.

met two girls from england called laura and sarah who were dead nice. they asked if i wanted to go white water rafting on the tully river with them, which is cool 😊 beats doing it on my own!! the place that i stayed at was literally on the beach - the view from the balcony was beach. and sea. and island (dunk island apparently). so so cool!

like i said, mission beach itself was a little 'local', not really that great. which led to me missing port douglas even more! ah well, will just have to do many many exciting things to stop me from being bored 😉
