G'day mates!
I have heard that saying about 20 times a day here, and it never gets old!
Thanks for the elfyourself thing Uncle Phil, Aunt Molly, and cousins. That was hilarious. Was there music to it as well? I didn't have any speakers when I watched it.
Mk, so today we went hunting for koalas. There is a national park near our hostel which we hiked through for most of the day today, and the lonely planet claimed that one might see sleepy koalas in the trees. Unfortunately the koalas were no where to be found though. But it was still a nice day of hiking.
We started out by hiking through a beautifully lush forest with towering eucalyptus and pines abundant. Once we got to the other side of the national park we hiked along the coast where we witnessed incredibly massive waves crashing against the cliff faces. The spray from some of the waves shot up probably 20 ft in the air!
We walked along an unofficial nudist beach, where we witnessed a couple 40 year old men running nude on the beach. That was not exactly what I was hoping for. One man on the beach had a speedo on, and I have never been happier to see one 😊
We continued on to the opposite side of the park where we hunted for food and finally found huge juicy hamburgers, right before I fell over from starvation. After my rejuvenation we hit the trail home through the park searching for koalas of course. As I said before we didn't find any, but we did see a possum sitting on a branch directly above the path. It looks like a giant rat basically. You can kinda see from the picture, but it was too high up to get a great shot of it. So at least we saw some type of animal besides a bird in the trees! I take what I can get 😊
We continued on to catch our bus back to the hostel along a popular surfing beach, as rays of sun shine shot through the obscurring clouds. Once we got back I relaxed by a large river just down the street from the hostel and watched the clouds change shape and color with the setting sun. You can see from the pics 😊

Cheers!

Daniel
