If anyone ever comes inland Qld. and goes thru' St.George you must see the 'Unique Emu Eggs' The are beautifully carved by a Greek (Australian?) man and they are like no other Emu Eggs we have ever seen. Definitly worth the stop-over.
We then had 4 nights at Mitchell and the Artesian Spa baths.(cost $36)
We then moved onto Injune, it was raining so we stayed 3 nights ($12) We were hoping to go into the Carnarvon Gorge but we were advised it was too wet and was closed.!!!
Both caravan parks had hot showers and good toilets....
Rob. re-wired lights for a bloke that was on his way home to Victoria for medical treatment!!!
We moved onto Emerald to a free camp under the bridge's (railway and road) near the Botanic Gardens.
