Mission Beach

After a 3 hour journey on the Greyhound bus (which I would become very familiar with over the coming weeks) we arrived in Mission Beach where we checked into the Beach Shack, which was basically a large converted house right on the beach front. The weather wasn't great but we went for a stroll along the beach with a Swiss guy we met called Norbert (Jon Dunne lookalike). We had a pretty chilled out night in the small town's only bar, entering a pool comp which we sadly didn't win. Most backpackers only stay in Mission Beach for a night as it's quite quiet, and we were no different, so the next day we continued on our Greyhound bound for Townsville and Magnetic Island.
