lake mckenzie
pretty sweet eh? Hey again
Well the alcohol problem thingh did kinda work... it has shot that blog up to equal bottom in the ratings... (the newest ones are always bottom fairly obviously really actually i lie... its not second bottom because i just looked at it to see where i was at last update) yer so, that has been some sort of a success and i didn't think its been that long since i did it last but, Becks given me hassle for not doing it in a week so, i figured i'd update you on my startling progress.. i figured that maybe some pictures would boost the ratings even further so, there should be a few added and they're pretty awesome i think any way
So i went to fraser island .. it was pretty awesome.. its all sand so its quite impressive... i thought mr houndslow would have been very proud of me.. its a grography teachers dream place.. i was glad that i'd don geography at school cos it made me think that i knew something when i got there, so that was pretty sweet.. had an awesome tour guide guy.. he was typical aussie and had a
whitehaven beach
again pretty cool eh? thats the 2 aussie guys in the water.. .wearing wet suite not because they're weird but because of crazy deadly stingers in the water heap of good stories to tell that probably weren't true but it made for an intresting day any way. Lake mckenzie was amazing as you will hopefully guess from the pictures. so, all in all a good day...
Then i had a 13 hour overnight bus from hervey bay to airlie beach. which took 16 hours on account of the large amounts of smoke that came from the engine of the bus when we were about 30 mins drive from the nearest house.. it was pretty much the middle of nowhere so, we sat on the road for 3 hours from about 9 to 12 and saw a staggering number of cars go past.. mayb 10 including the lorries.. the M25 it was not.. i've not seen a traffic jam in Aus.. but it was all good apart from a crazy dutch guy who kept on sayi9ng it was like a horror film an he'd be ok cos he was a crazy dutch guy.. and that he needed a drink.. yer sop arrived at airlie beach at 9 in the morning as opposed to 6.. so, wasn't too bad really.. walked round airlie beach ... which isn't a beach..
Eli creek
Fresh water creek on fraser island weird eh? yer so, it had no beach so, another letter to the placenames misdescriptions company i think.. at least surfers would have been some surfers paradise.. obviously not many cos there weren't many people surfing.. but to not have a beach was just weird.
Yer so then went on a criuse on a cat it was supposed to be sailing.. but due to wind being all wrong.. we only sailed for about 20 mins and it was so much better than the motors, They provided free food and drinks all day.. so it was pretty cool.. Sat round with 2 aussie guys and a couple the guy was from newcastle and she was from brighton, any who we went to whitehaven beach.. which was awesome like a paradise beach mainly beacuse there weren't many people there just us off our boat to start with and we played cricket and i kept on bowling down the leg side... it was beacuse of teh slope though i recon.. i wasn't the only one to bowl it down there so, i think i should give up playing at lords... although this was a bigger slope than lords. Any who.. basically the
maheno shipwreck
maheno shipwrek on fraser island aussie guys were better than me at cricket... but then they play it every yweek so what do you expect. Then a bit more sailing.. and did some snorkeling which was amazing.. so many cool fishes and stuff... it was a heap of fun... When i first got in the water its a bit weird to not be able to breathe in through your nose.. you know its whats gonna happen but, it still took me by surprise.. but, i didn't die or look stupid or anything so, it was all good.
Then back on the boat to have some more food and drink a few beers, So was a pretty sweet day again. and again well worth the money it cost.
Then i got the bus to mission beach the next morning which is where i am now... mission beach does have a beach... not sure about a mission... but to be honest i've not looked too hard for one of those.. i'm pretty happy just chilling out and doing nothing and uploading a few pictures and doing this guy.
tomorrow i head to cairns i should get there in time so i can see englands b
sailing back home
after a hard days sitting in the sun looking at some pretty sweet islands.. hard hard life. Whats the weather like back home? team get crushed by the aussies, which is annoying... really i know the best team we could field would get trounced but, it be nice it some of the aussies got injured as well cos us and the kiwi's have heaps of players injured... be way more fair if gilchrist and symmonds got injured.. mayb ponting as well... i think 3 is fair.. we're missing 3 batsmen our opener, captain and big hitter so, those 3 would even it up a bit nothing serious obviously mayb just a broken finger of something.
Any who.. Dunno when i'll next do one of these... i'll be in new zealand.. so, i'll keep you informed.
Enjoy

Nice one!
Looks good Rich! I'm liking the pictures, lots of memories flooding back for me! Glad you enjoyed the Whitsundays-my time was spent huddling under a very glamorous yellow mac trying to keep dry as it was poring down! not the most glam place for me! Enjoy! :)
