My first week back home was very strange. I had to get used to everything again. My mum and dad took me out to Black Mountain Road, then through Milla Milla and back home again. It was such fun. I missed the forest and the fresh air.

I slept the whole of the second day back, only coming out to eat. When mum took me out shopping, I bought lots of chocolate and biscuits. They were yum. I spent time with my mum because I really missed her, and my Nan, too. My dad was really busy but he spent as much time with me as he could.

The things I miss about China are the tomato and egg dish, the sweet pork and a few other things. I miss my home-stay family and their dog. The best part of china for me was the Great Wall. Such majesty in an old wall. It was so breathtaking and unbelievable to think I was STANDING on the Great Wall of CHINA! I was so happy and excited.

My mum said she missed me but was glad I went because it was a big experience and she did not want me to miss out on that. I am happy to be back home and I can’t wait for the Chengdu students to get here and experience everything there is in Australia. GO AUSSIES!
