Oct 17. Walked out on to Mermaid Beach - no one from Burleigh Heads to Surfers Highrise - to muse on my day. Early start crossed M1 Bridge passing Brisbane, occasional slow spots. Got into Nerang looking for newspaper. Found $5 breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, tomato, mushroom and real fried potatos! Left note at '7' in hope of story. Went up 17th floor Gold Coast 'NINE'. Stopped flag store Mermaid Beach. He got 20 more stickers. So now I've got $5 Eagle Boys pizza behind me and prospects to see Indy Car Race in Surfers in front. Ah. Leaving the Sunshine Coast had caused anxiety, unknown. I had gotten very comfortable. Here, now all good sitting under pandanus Magpie mother feeding offspring. And my only concern is a hot shower.
Oct 18. Burleigh Head surfing, jogging, walking; pregnant, strollers, toddlers, primaries; holding hands, talking mobile; french, german, japanese. Gave out and stuck on heaps. Coolangata main drag waved flag. Called Victoria re: website. I'll get front page image redone, a link to my blog etc. Whales made a splash and disappeared. We play the Kiwis on the 28th in Brisbane, rugby. That could be a goer.
