The sand is like brown sugar, without the sticky.
This was our last day on the Gold Coast, so we wanted to make the most of it. We started out our day by the pool, then headed into town for lunch. We had Fish & Chips on the beach, which is a real "Gold Coast" thing to do. We then walked up to Point Danger, which was named by Captain James Cook when he mapped Australia in 1770. It was a beautiful view of the ocean, and the surfers (or surfer wannabes, as the case may be).

We also walked out along some rocks, where we sat and watched the dolphins frolicking in the waves. We walked back along the beach, where we stopped for a little while to enjoy the waves (except that Vlad prefers to enjoy them from a distance where he won't get wet).

Oz Oddities:
- Apparently it is frowned upon when you walk into a bottle shop (Liquor Store), and just march into the cooler. Poor Vlad. Luckily he was wearing his flashing "I'm a tourist" sign, and they didn't get too mad at him!
