Movie World
Warner Brothers Movie World Hey everyone,
We stayed in Surfers Paradise for 3 nights. The first night we just got our bearings and we treated ourselves to eating in a Thai restaurant. The 2nd day we went to Warner Brothers Movie World, which is a theme park. They had a superman ride which has to be the best ride there it is sooooo fast! We went on that one a couple of times, i ended up with bruises on my arms from being knocked about in the rollercoaster. There was also a batman ride, lethal weapon, scooby doo etc. We went on the Scooby Doo ride expecting it to be a kiddy ride and it was for a couple of minutes then suddenly we went backwards down a drop (which Sarah didnt like very much) then it went crazy we were up in the air with nothing around us on a twisty track and the corners were really sharp - it was good. We also went on the Wild West Falls which was a log ride that one also had a backwards drop (Sarah didnt like that either hehe). Police academy
The police academy stunt show at movie world daffy duck, bugs bunny etc. We also went to the 4D shrek cinema which was really good. You wore those special glasses and the film actually looked like it was coming out at you, at one point shrek dropped loads of spiders and air was blown around our feet - I screamed and pulled my legs up onto my seat! I know what a wimp! Really made me jump though. Oh and we saw a police academy stunt show as well which was really funny.
The 3rd day was James' birthday we went on the beach in the morning, then went into the town to have a look around. In the evening we went to this Ice bar called Minus 5 degrees. The whole bar was made from ice - the bar, the chairs, the tables, the glasses you drank from, the decoration - everything! It was actually minus 7 degrees when we were in there, we had to wear this huge warm hooded coat, furry boots, and 2 pairs of gloves before going inside. Then inside we got cocktails in ice glasses which we had to put down on mats because if you put them straight on the
Superman Ride
This is the superman Ride which was really fast! table it would stick to the table and you wouldnt be able to pick it up again. We had a half an hour limit inside (probably due to the cold!) But it was certainly an experience.
The 4th day we just chilled out in the T.V. room after checking out waiting for our bus to pick us up at 4pm.
