Well today saw us pass the 14,000km barrier on our ozzie road trip. Quite something in just over 3 months! We set of from Townsville this morning to begin the trip up to Cardwell, our overnight stop on route to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef!

On route we drove 28km up a winding mountain side to a village on the summit called Paluma. During this treck we stopped off at Little Crystal Creek falls and then travelled further up to the rock slides, a large stream of water which has eroded away at the surrounding rocks creating a natural water slide. To be honest it looked a little dangerous to me, but Oli went in and had a go while i just took a splash in the pool area which was refreshing and well worth the walks we had done to arrive at the pools and falls.
