Cody and i met up with dorothy ( a friend from high school).

As you read in the title we went to the great barrier reef. It was a day trip and i can safely say i had a terrible time. I puked 3 times because i was extremely sea sick. When we got to the reef an anchor line got wrapped around the propeller so we had to wait around for them to untangle it before we could go in the water. About 10 mintues after being in the water i got stung by a jelly fish, my had was red and swollen. It hurt so bad so i decided to swim back to the boat to get some spray. on the way back to the boat cody saw another jellyfish by me so he tried to swoosh it away but it ended up getting stuck in his armpit, that was the first of his 8 or so stings. Dorothy was stung on her face as well. i would say my sting was the worst because it looked the worst. despite what cody says i didnt cry!

We left Cairns to go to Airlie beach. it took 11 hours on a bus. we have a tour booked for tomorrow to go to the whitsundays so i will tell you all about it later.

Take care
Emily

Ouch!!
Hi Em and Cody, That just sucks!! I can't imagine what it feels like to be stung by a jelly fish. And being sea sick is terrible too. Well, I guess you will always remember your time at the Great Barrier Reef. As a side note, the Oilers won tonight against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in Game 1 of this series. They play again Sunday. Don't want you guys to forget about your Canadian roots. Take care. Love you. Auntie xoxoxox

When you get stung....
Hey, I just remebered something that may be very useful to you! I think I saw an episode of Friends where Joey or Chandler got stung by a jellyfish. All you have to do is get someone to pee on it to take the sting away. Hope this helps! Love, Mom

Have a Toast on June 15th!
Hey Em, Can you do some kind of Australian "upside-down" toast for Auntie Val and her delivery? Hey.....if you are ahead of us time-wise...could you let us know what she had?....before she had it????
