Highlights of traveling to the Australia zoo:
-Big yellow Australia zoo bus from the Alexandra Headland beach to Berwah, the city where the zoo is
-feeding of the three huge elephants
-petting the camel
-Crocoseum show with exotic birds flying overhead, Andy winning the monkey impersonation, zookeepers bringing huge snakes all around the audience, huge crocodile feeding - the croc was cranky and refused to leave the arena.
-Roo heaven-we sat around with the kangaroos and wallabies, petting them, and watching them just bounce around
-Koalas Koalas Koalas! There were so many of them high up in the trees you could find and a large area where they were close enough to the ground to pet. It was so great just to watch them sleep, stretch, and in the afternoon they would wake up for a few minutes to eat euctalyptus leaves.
-Tigers - there was another show with two playful tigers, their interactions with the zookeepers was very entertaining! They started off feeding them milk and the tigers would stand right up on their hind legs and wrap their arms around the zookeeper. Then with a big rubber ball the cats got very rambunctious and were jumping into the water, swimming after the ball, playing cat n mouse with the zookeeper. 😊
-Red pandas, that look nothing like normal pandas
-Wombats 😊 I love them, there were four of them eating and one decided he wanted to have what the other girl was eating, bit her and she hobbled away crying out. The zookeeper was like, "typical male" -lol
-And so many more animals...the dingoes, most venomous snake in the world..the fierce snake, echidnas, tortoises, sea otters, eagle, beautiful birds, an actual kind of cute possum.
