Going Global

I left Chicago heading west in the beginning of April '07 and continued going west until March 1st, 2008 when I returned to Chicago having confirmed that the world is indeed round. The stops along the way - Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Nepal, India, and Tanzania. I'm Huge!

This guy was just showing off and trying to keep us away from his home.

Giant Turtle

These dudes can get to be almost 200 years old. This guy is about 30 and will double in size over his life. One died in the zoo last year that had been found by Charles Darwin.

Seeing that they sleep 20 hours a day...most of my photos of them are in that state.

Same sunrise. This was as dark as I could make the picture. F42 and 1/4000sec for those inteiested. But I basically liked how the sun is "touching" the water.

Thanks again for sharing your adventures with the rest of us who'll probably never get to Aussie Land. The pics are stunning - I'm sure it was hard to choose which ones to include. Would have loved to hear your rendition of "Sweet Home Chicago"!
