On top of the world!
Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb 13 May - g'day, greetings from Oz! I arrived in Sydney last Friday. I'm having a wonderful time here and loving staying with my mates Leigh and Darren (and Surf the dog) in their fab bungalow with scrummy home cooking thanks to Leigh. They stay in Dee Why so I'm experiencing beach living in the suburbs and could really get used to it...
I've explored some great places here in North Sydney - Dee Why, Manly, Curl Curl and Cremorne. Just one full day in Sydney so far, and that was today. It's a superb 'commute' on the Sydney Ferry from Manly to Sydney Harbour. Visited Sydney Opera House this morning and then did the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb... what an AMAZING experience. After getting all kitted out in a fetching jump suit, harnessed up and radio-ed for communication purposes we walk along and through the girders of the bridge along steel walk ways and up ladders. We end up on the very top of the arch of the bridge...ie beside the flags which you can see from the bottom...134metres up watching the 10 lanes of traffic and 2 train lines go whizzing and thundering passed below us. The views
Welcome to Sydney
The land down under ;) are stunning...360 degrees covers the wonderful skyscraper sky line, the iconic Sydney Opera House, the yachts and boats in the harbour, then looking over to the rocks of Sydney Heads and on to Manly in the distance. No cameras allowed but hope you like these pics 😊 It's a stunning day with clear blue skies and get to see a wonderful sunset on the way down.
Another AWESOME experience 😊
