This is a fantastic beach for children and it has lots of rocks and coral so many little fishes to see too
In between Christmas and New Year I went to the Clovelly beach with Ed, Blythe and their friend Nicki who I had met once in London. Clovelly is a little alcove beach with lots of rocks and coral protected in the harbour so there are plenty of fish to see.... I even spied I grouper fish which was about 1 foot long!

On New Year's Eve, after a spot of outfit shopping on my part - (back packers clothes weren't good enough) for my lined up evening! For part 1 of the evening I met up Lex, Dwight and Glenn and we went and hunted amongst the 1000's of revelers for our own little vantage point to see the fireworks. We were very lucky that we had found one and even managed to get a little sunshine to drink our beers with, the area they picked was close to the support structure of the bridge, just past the Rocks area. After a few hours I headed back to Glenn's apartment to get changed into my glad rags for part 2 of the evening! I had a very special invitation from Blythe to join her and Ed at her works New

Year's Eve party, what made it more special was that Blythe's building was in Circular Quay and the office was on the 42nd floor so you had the whole view of Sydney harbour beneath us! She had a really great set of work people and we all managed to get a window view from the building and drank lots of Champagne to toast the two sets of fireworks (their is one at 9pm for the children and one at midnight).

After the midnight fireworks, I met back up with Lex, Dwight and Glenn and we all went on to the establishment for an 80's themed disco night amongst some seriously drunk Sydney siders with the added cattle market feel - All was very good fun dancing the night away but at about 3am, we were all pooped from shots and cocktails and headed home!

On New Years Day it was the hottest day of the year - it got up to 46c in the centre of Sydney and it felt like you were in an oven....Glenn and I headed to Manly on the ferry and were joined later by Lex and Dwight. Needless to say the sun brolley

was one of the favorite spot for us all! The sea there was very rough with some serious rips and there were trillions of lifeguards making sure we all stayed afloat and keeping us within the flags.
