Well, the back room is full of stuff that we somehow have to squeeze into the Prado! maybe we should have bought a bigger car! Today we're celebrating our wedding anniversary with a lovely lunch at Catalina Rose Bay and tomorrow we pack the car ready to head off on Thursday to beautiful Nambucca . We'll celebrate Aunty Bettys' 89th birthjday and then take off on our adventure on Sunday. First stop will be Gunnedah and we're going to camp while we're in a civilized place just to see if we've got everything. (Allen is now rolling his eyes!) I actually feel quite excited about doing a bit of camping and a bit of "normal" accommodation. Thanks to Julian and Vanessa, we have every bit of caming gear possible to make the trip quite comfortable and civilised. We have their car fridge which will allow is to have cold champers whenever the need arises. Friends who have travelled quite a bit outback have told us about beautiful sunrises and sunsets which must be accompanied by champers. Julianne has given me lots of good tips and I know where all the stores are along the way so that we can make sure we don't go hungry...fat chance of that....you should see what I've bought already! We plan to be away 4-5 weeks, just taking our time to enjoy ourselves. I like Julian's advice: "Find a good camping spot, pull up and have a beer. Put the tent up and have another beer. Get dinner organised and sit and watch the sunset with another beer.....relax and enjoy....don't make hard work of it." Sounds like good advice to me. More news as we go....have a great day. Love Sue xx
