Hi everybody (again!),

In my shock @ the coldness of the weather I forgot to metion that while in Cairns we went on an old pearl lugger (large wooden boat) to the great barrier reef!

We went last saturday & spent about 4hours snorkeling amongst some amazing fish, coral & built sandcastles on a sand cay (island of sand) in the middle of the reef. it was really amazing, just like taking a peak @ a compleatly different world! Had a great day although managed to burn the bottom of my back.

Today we have walked around Sydney & thank god its getting warmer (has picked up to 25 degrees), although we have to walk up a massive hill to get back to the hostal which means in this heat we arrive hot & sweaty (nice)

anyway just thought id better let u know that we managed to get to the reef & that the weather is improving.
