Spot the ball...
I wish I could report that the weather has been amazing and we both have the most fantastic tans....alas this has not been the case!! The weather has been about 2 degrees warmer over here compared to the UK! The last few days have been pretty warm and the word on the street is that the summer is going to be a scorcher (Over 40 degrees!!!)

After attempting to go whale watching twice only for the trip to be cancelled as a result of bad weather it was a case of third time lucky! I use the term 'lucky' very loosely as the swell was pretty large and we were in a tiny boat with a reckless ozzie behind the wheel who seemed intent on putting us all in traction by crashing down over waves with such force the wind was knocked out of us. When we finally got to the whales (Just off manly beach) we didn't have to wait long for our first sighting. As we manoeuvred the boat into a better position to observe a huge hump back whale jumped clear out of the water - we have no pictures of this as it really was a

case of blink and you'll miss it and to be honest all our attention was focused on staying in the boat and keeping our lunch down (A task that was failed by one member of our group who left vomit marks down the side of the boat nice!!) We stayed watching the whales for about 2hours getting glimpses and tail slaps every now and again but unfortunately we didn't have another breech - Sarah later thought this was because we took the cheaper tour, and was sure if we'd taken the more expensive tour on a bigger boat then the whales would have performed for us!

As I said the weather has been pretty poor so the highlight of the last week or so was the whale watching. We have done a few other bits and pieces including the wildlife centre and a trip to the beach. We have also spent the last 2 Thursday nights singing up a storm in a local bar on their Karoke & Quiz night - Hits that have been murdered so far include -

Bitch - Sarah
Hey Mona - Sarah & Mark
Rockstar - Mark
No One Knows - Sarah
My Michelle - Mark
Killing In The Name Of - Mark
Pink - Sarah
Especially For You - Sarah & Mark

Inbetween making peoples ears bleed we found time for a walk from Bondi beach to Bronte beach where they had a sculpture trail.

As I write we are currently looking for and applying for jobs so fingers crossed we'll both be in full time employment by the time we come to write another update.
