Hi everyone.

After a long summer of rest in New Zealand we are finally settled and have signed a lease on a property in Bondi Junction, Sydney. Thanks to all the friends and family that put us up during this time :-)

Simon has started work already, with a Sydney based patent attorney practice, while Sandra has been doing the logistics for us - house hunting and finding out where all the essential stuff that we need is. We have certainly been feeling the absence of the Warehouse's big red sheds as you have to do a bit of hunting around for basic inexpensive products (to tide us over until our shipment of belongings arrive).

We have attached a couple of basic pictures of our one bedroom apartment in Bondi Junction, which is about 10 minutes on the train from the CBD. We are in a first floor apartment in an old style art deco building which thankfully has relatively large living areas compared to the other modern boxes that we viewed when house hunting.

We also get a lock up garage with this place so will potentially end up buying a motorcycle as you can get free parking in the CBD as long as you are in early enough on a week day. We are not sure about getting a car just yet as we have mastered the bus system and will be moving onto the train when are installed in Bondi Junction so a car may just end up going to the supermarket and back......

We move in this Friday, thankfully just in time for the Easter break, as we have spent the last couple of weeks over here in a studio apartment/motel and are getting a bit sick of living in such a small space.

We are about to grab a laptop from Dell, but it looks like we may be able to avoid the need for a home phone number and just use a combination of cell phones, skype and a naked DSL2+ internet connection for communications. We will email out some contact details shortly once we are up and running.

Ciao for now
