First stop, One Mile Beach in Anna Bay, which is in the Port Stephens area which is about 2.5 hours north of Sydney. Port Stephens is home to one of the largest pods of dolphins in Australia, and has really great snorkelling and scuba diving and some great surfing on the eastern side. All of which we didn’t do any. Not because we didn’t want to, but the sun in these pictures was the only sun we saw for 4 days! After that it was so rainy and windy we hardly saw anything! Didn’t we leave the rain at home in Vancouver?? Sydney has got more rain this Novemeber than it has in 24 years. At least we weren't in a tent, and the trailer is working great. All the comforts of home with our $34 DVD player and $75 TV it was coming in pretty handy. After 2 rainy days at Anna Bay (we will definately be back), we headed up the coast about 5 hours further to just north of Coff's Harbour to Moonee Beach. Found another great campground (only $20 a night and right on the beach), we spent another 2 rainy days there. Acutally it was fine,

and we were glad we had the annexe with all the rain, or maybe it was just the curtains that we were loving. Everyone has an annexe in Australia, they are good, they add basically an extra room to your area.
we were excited to just be on our way, and spent a tonne of time checking beaches out and planning spots we will head back to on the way down. Started to remember where we have put stuff in our little trailer and our loving it. Not sure where we are headed tomorrow - either Byron Bay, Tweed Heads or may go right to Maroochydore, about an hour north of Brisbane where we will stay for the first few days Dennis and Maggie are here.
