The Beginning of SB08
Spring Break 2008 begins!
Friday September 19 was Conception Day at Macquarie Uni. Celebrates Uni Life and gives everyone an excuse to party and drink. Hot and Sunny outside. Had some good fun on the slide and blow up obstacle course. Then baked in the sun while sitting on the grass listening to the semi-aweful band.

Saturday September 20
Day 1 of OZ Adventure
Ziva and I left at 8:30am to catch the train. We arrived in Katoomba at 12:10pm. The Blue Mountains Australia. We lugged our bags to the YHA to check in and drop our gear. Was a 10 minute walk from the train station. After lightening our load we set off for a 15 minute walk to bushwalking trails and Scenic World where we road the worlds steepest railway and a Scenic Skyway. The hike lead us to the famous Three Sisters and then we walked the cliff trails to Echo Point. Ending our evening we had some hand-made ice cream at the Blue Mountains Chocolate Company. Real chocolate coveture ice cream. The all day hike gave us a big appetite. Dinner was at Savoy where we both had the Kangaroo, zucchini and potatoes.

Sunday September 21
Day 2 of OZ Adventure
After grabbing breakfast from the grocery store we hiked Katooma's cliff edges for another 3 hours. Making our way around, we saw the Leura Falls, the giant staircase and the Three Sisters. Extremely exhausted by noon we relaxed at the hostel for a few hours and caught the 4:30pm bus, making our way to Coonabarabran. Our bus arrived there at 1am and Ted picked 4 of us up to head to his country place. We were finally where we needed to be for Ando's Outback Tour. Looking out the window of the bus, i've never seen so many stars in the sky. It was like those chandalier fireworks, so twinkly, bright, and perfect to get lost star gazing.
