Moonee Beach- Umina Beach

Well We arrived in Moonee Beach with Dad & stayed for 3 nights. The van prak was right on the beach which was gorgeous. Shan had been dying to get a surfboard since we decided we were leaving so now he finally went & got one.
So in 17 degree cold windy weather Shan decides to try & srcub up on his old surfing skills. He puts on his wetsuit (blue camo - his spear fishing wetsuit) & heads for the surf after wrestling the waves for an hour he headed back to land & decided he needed a lil bit more practice.
We had a great 3 days, checked out the Big Banana which wasnt actually that big but they did have a tobogan sled thing on a rail which we had a few goes on...and a yummy lollie making shop!
We took the kids down the creek & chucked a line in I think they enjoyed knotting it up more than trying to catch a fish. We also got a fair few tips off one of the pro grey nomads..which was handy.
We headed off Sunday leaving Dad behind to head to Adelaide..we all had a cry but we are quite use to this after all the goodbyes we have had lately.
We stopped in Kempsey at this PIE shop called Fredo's OMG the best Pies ever...I mean leave yourself a spare hour just to decide which Pie to have there are about 80 different pies- No Lie!!
Arrived in Umina Beach Sunday Avo- Umina Beach is about an hour North of Sydney...again we are on the beach...and also straight across from the van parks jumping pillow & playground. The boys are both now riding with no training wheels- Koby is a champion rider likes to go fast.
We have been relaxing here catching up on school work...the weather has dropped Shannon has Finally started wearing Jeans & jumpers. We went on a search for ugg boots too...brr it must be like 6 over night & today was about 11 and got up to 15 and was also raining but we are enjoying it.
Yesterday we went for a almost 2 hr drive just to get to Palm Beach aka Home & Away...where they do there beach scenes & the surf club was there too. Was pretty cool seeing it all Maddi enjoyed it. I think it must be where the richies live the houses were super flash.
Tomorrow we are heading into the big smoke yep Sydney...I tried talking Shannon into catching the train but no he wants to drive...haha good luck glad its him & not me.

Neen, you write the best. Reading this is great, sure sounds like you guys are havin fun. Too bloody cold for swimmin Shannon, but I think I would swim in zero degrees before driving round Sydney with a van and all, good luck with that :) Take care you guys, loves yas xxx
