And so for our last quick blog from Australia. We headed up to the Blue Mountains to Katoomba for a couple of days and enjoyed the amazing views and the smell of Eucalyptus which drifted down through the forests. From there we travelled to Narabeen, north Sydney, to a campground on the beach. Nice restaurants, good surf, a salt water pool and good connections into Sydney made for a good week. We headed back to Manly beach where Dad got a surf in, ate at some great places in and around Manly and Narabeen. And then it was time for Mum and Dad to leave for Singapore, en route back to the UK. Amazingly we got to the airport on time and with no drama (there is karma in there somewhere) and then we headed back to Narabeen for our last few days with Est and Si. Saying goodbye to Camperman was emotional (as we weren't sure if they would try to stiff us for all the various bits of the van which had fallen off along the way) but went without major event - and then we moved into the fab Bondi Beach house for a last couple of nights. When it came to leave we so wanted to stay longer and travel up the east coast with Est and Si and to explore Australia more. We loved the people, the beaches, the pace of life and have planned in a big trip in the not to distant future. Meanwhile it was onto Tahiti...sort of. After an emotional goodbye to Est and Si involving lots of toilet roll.....they know why...we zoomed off on a airport shuttle in the early hours of the morning. Panic en route when zoe discovered she had a vital part of simon's computer in her bag but managed to pay the shuttle driver to drop it back at the hostel. Then slight consternation when we saw the only flight to Tahiti was at 7:15 am - we had arrived at 6:45 for what we thought was a 9am flight. Two hours later we got to the bottom of it and found Trailfinders had booked us onto a flight that no longer existed - luckily we could fly the next day. A sheepish call to Est and Si - hi can you pick us up - and it turned out to be a great thing. We had

a great day - lunch at the Fishmarkets in Sydney and then onto an Aussie Rules. A really good day - and then goodbye again in the morniing.
