Panoramic view
a nice place for a coffee break Well its about time I updated my blog!sorry Ive been so slack and thanks for reading them.
After leaving my favorite campsite so far we got set off and drove for a couple of hours before needing a coffee, we spotted a sign saying panoramic view cafe we stopped and couldn't believe how fantastic it was, hence the name, we had'nt realized just how far we had come up the mountains this view was amazing ! after this we carried on to Batemans Bay found a nice campsite on the edge of the water we had a walk towards the sea and watched for ages the small stingrays and octopus chasing each other, the marine life is fasinating to watch.Just got back to the Camper when the heavens opened so we dived inside and had snacks and watched Tv not much else when its bouncing down!It soon cleared up so we had a bike ride round the bay
Narooma-this was futher down the coast, busy holiday place and the kids are still off school so camps are packed out, after a swim in the pool we got ready to got out asked at reception where to go the lady suggested starting at the
local bowling club well thats ok for us we will they even come for you in the club transport, there was a good band on so we enjoyed a few drinks and we got talking to a family in there next thing I was up dancing(say no more) good night in there,we tried some local fish, Flathead it tasted good, Neils wants to catch one now.
Eden-lovely fishing town with a whaling museum, so glad we stayed here the camp was outside the town about 10mins drive we went to the whaling museum it was really intresting they even had pictures of Whitby in there,Neil went fishing in the harbour I sat in the camper reading a magazine I noticed a policecar arriving at this point Neil caught a beauty then spotted the police and threw it quickly into the sea , whats going on I said ,he forgot to get a licience ,he was fed up the police didnt bother anyone but unlucky for Neil he coulnd't catch a thing after that.We stayed here for 5 days it was so nice,we saw the biggest stingray ever in the harbour.
Lakes Entrance-another nice place quite big with lots of lakes and
rivers going into the sea, found a smashing little place to stay and another club to get great food and fine wine of course, after a nice two days we booked for a couple more, bad move it then rained constantly for three days, its so boring here when it rains.
We drove for miles stopping here and there at small places but decided to keep driving until we got to Phillip Island-a nice island you drive to it over a bridge form the main land, they were having the junior surf championships at one of the bays ,we found the Grand Prix race track which is used for the motorbikes We had lunch then booked on a tour to look around so glad we did it was great.
We drove around the island it has lots of nature reserves and an island full of seals, also they have penguins on the island.
Next dive was a coast route from Phillip Island around western port bay to port phillip bay we stopped at lots of places for an hour then camped up in Dromana just a quick stay then off to a campsite in Melbourne Centre so we get to the Night Market
Eden Harbour
This bloke looks very guilty! tonight.
Enjoyed the trip heading back to the farm now to plan our next route!
