stolen generations 'sorry' day

12-2-8 brought laundry in in middle of night as rain pattered on car roof. early ride to parliament house to check out parking, heavy rain. with plastic cover walked toward national library happened upon 'sorry' encampment in front of old parliament house. amicable scene some stickers and flags taken. skies cleared while i was in library. returned to tents for more. shower at yc. beer at civic pub.
13-2-8 a day when our new p.m. eloquently and elaborately expressed sorrow for stolen generations. i was teary. after the serious bit was over spruiking went into overdrive. massive support. spoke to and gave sticker to every media person i saw. there were heaps including al jazeera! good music too. cloudy cool. a day i'll always remember with affection. tired but satisfied.
