Changing scenery Changing scenery Changing scenery

Scenery changed dramatically on our way from Yellowstone to Cody.
We arrived in Cody around 2pm, and after registering and getting settled we immediately set about washing the RV and car. Both were dirtier than at any time we have owned them. Mud was caked on the lower part of the RV and the car completely covered as you may have seen in the last blog. It took several hours to get the vehicles clean and once done we were pleased to see our old RV nice and shiny. We ate a quick supper and then went to one of Americas oldest rodeos. This was Judy's first rodeo and we were glad we went. It satisfied her curiosity and she was surprised at how many little kids were involved in things like barrel racing, calf roping, and calf riding. Several took pretty good tumbles and probably walked away with bruises. They even had children under five barrel racing. How about that? The next day we went to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center here in Cody. It houses 5 museums in one area and is the best museum I have ever witnessed. It was amazing! We spent several hours there and could have spent several more hours if we had wanted to

Clouds were amazing & scenery always catching our attention.
study things even more. They had the largest collection of firearms I have ever heard of. There were 2700 different arms and many that I had never seen. For someone who is into arms this is a MUST SEE. I would suggest that if you are ever in Cody, Wy. or nearby you have to make a point of going to this outstanding historical center. While you are at it you can go to the rodeo that we saw yesterday. The town is laid out in an easy pattern so it is easy to find your way around. (We even got to shop at Wal-Mart and stock up on groceries for our next run) Next run is to Custer, Wy.

Has over 100 oz of sterling silver and weighs 105 lbs. I'd hate to saddle up the horse that carries this. He rode in many parades with this saddle. Must be strong!
