T minus 28 ish and counting!

So... Here is the latest...

Still on my lists of things to do to prepare:
1) almost out of debt
2) will be posting the car for sale tomorrow (i paid it off and the title is in the mail!)
3) my first round of immunizations are scheduled for Wednesday!!!
4) research visas - still need to do this
5) research countries assigned to me (Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama - we split things up to make it easier) - still need to do some more of this but I have started to do some research on Nicaragua ans Guatemala
6) Arrange dinner for parents (DONE - 1/4/08 @ Trinacria)
7) purchase surfboard from friend as previous agreed - prending
8) research Grenada and Brazil - still need to do this...
9) Dig through camping/ backpacking gear to locate appropriate pack, tent, etc.) - still need to fine tune things but it's coming together
10) purchase items on gear list (still need: safe, sleep sack, etc.)
11) Figure out best ways to access my money (research int'l fees on debit/ credit cards, get some traveler's checks for rainy days, etc.) - still need to do this!
12) HAVE FUN and DON'T WORK TOO HARD while planning and preparing for everything!!! (workin on this one but I think i have it in the bag 😊

Other items not previously indicated in this blog...
*Quit all my jobs - 2 out of 3 = done... 1 to go...
*snowboard at Baker (going tomorrow!!!)
*see friends, get addresses and email addresses
*connect with contacts in Mexico and Cabo
*cancel car insurance locally; suspend cell service effective 1/31/08
*make arrangements to visit friends in Santa Cruz and family in SF area (then drive down the coast!)

Hopefully this blog will become more exciting as time passes.
