Sunday saw the Edison- Hamburg exchange at the Mount Vernon Police Station! Not to worry however, we were not in trouble. Chris Cammock was kind enough to arrange a behind the scenes tour of the station and all of the cool stuff there. We had pictures taken in the booking room (that should sufficiently scare some German parents!), had a look around and inside the SWAT trucks, police cars, motorcycles and even got to play around with some training gear. It was a blast and the kids had an awesome time there. After the tour it was on to some black light midnight bowling! It was a blast with the music blaring and black lights shining. The coolest part that was noticed by all of the teachers is that this group is so tight. There was absolutely no German/ American split. It was totally a mixed group with Germans and Americans together as one

Sunday evening was the “Farewell Dinner”. A huge thanks go to the Van Leeuwen family for hosting this event! We enjoyed a great meal and the kids really enjoyed all of the different activities! There was a great baseball game, soccer, football, a tattoo parlor, and just plain hanging out and enjoying one another’s company. It was a great way to say goodbye even though there is a week left in the exchange.

Enjoy the pics! Thanks to Jaycy and Bonnie for the bowling pics and Jodi and Jaycy for the farewell pics!

Today we are off to Deception Pass for a hike. It should be another great day!
