Day 1 - Blacksburg to Asheville, NC

We left Blacksburg around 9:30 am to a pretty steady rain. It pretty much stopped raining though by 10:15. We ate lunch in Johnson City, TN, and then headed on to Asheville.

We took Sammy to a couple bars with outside seating in downtown Asheville. There are a lot of cool bars and restaurants in that area. It is very "artsy"....lots of tattoos, piercings, and even old school mohawks. We took Sammy back to the hotel and went out to dinner at The Lobster Trap.

As far as we know, this was Sammy's first experience in bars and staying in a hotel. She did great!
