The drive to Lubbock, Texas proved to be more eventful than we had anticipated. It started out fine, as we drove along long roads that seemed to go on forever. Seriously, there is nothing for miles and miles, and the land is so flat. You can look out in every direction and see the land meet the sky. It really feels like you can look out onto the horizon forever. We stopped at a small burger joint in Amarillo, Texas. The place was filled mostly with locals, but we were pleased with the good food at a low price. We then got back on the road with only a short two hours left on the drive.
