Day 1 - Adventure begins

Today proved to be VERY interesting. We left SA at 10:30 heading down Hwy 90 towards Del Rio. Two hours into the trip (Joyce & I were driving) Joyce's trailer blows a tire. I saw the tire blow and then two seconds later parts came flying of their rig. We both kept control and stopped safely along side the road. After Joe and Jon changed the tire, took off the dangling parts and tied up the hanging wire we continued to Del Rio. They purchased a new tire and will take their rig to the repair shop bright and early in the morning. We are hoping to get out of town around noon. We were just thankful it happened now and not on the Alaskan Hwy..
