December 14 Lost Maples State Natural Area
Today went out of San Antonio on I-10 West to Boerne. Then West on 46 to Hwy 16 and through Bandera. At the intersection of Hwy 16 and 470 went west on 470 to Hwy 187. At 187 decided to go south instead of north and see what Utopia looked like. After checking it out realised there was no reason to go to Utopia unless you are just passing through it on the way to Garner State Park. So went north again on 187 to Lost Maples State Natural area. It was a little late in the season to see the changing colors of the Maple trees but still it was scenic and it was certainly wild and rugged enough.
