We returned from the Florida Keys the middle of March after five months of enjoying the tropical winter weather (meaning warm), the aqua ocean, the sand in our shoes (if you are a Conch do you ever get the sand out of your shoes?), and eating our fill of seafood (almost). We spent three months at Curry Hammock State Park from October 1, 2007 to January 1, 2008 after which we moved to Long Key State Park where we stayed for two months. After leaving the Keys (kicking and screaming the whole way), we returned home for a couple of weeks. We are now full timing in our RV, but so far have not been able to sell our house. Just our luck -- we decided to sell at the same time the real estate market went south. Therefore, we had to return home to check on the house and repair and clean whatever needs it and to mow, weed whack, cut back old and dead growth on our trees and bushes, etc. in the yard. We also had to catch up on doctor appointments (the Golden Years, aren't they wonderful?) and Dee had to do some preventive maintenance on the

truck. Finally, the day arrived, April 2, 2008, when we could hook up the RV to the truck and get "On the Road Again." Thank you Willie Nelson for providing our theme song, which we play each morning when we start traveling for the day. On this trip our final destination, at least for two months, is Oahe (pronounced oh-WA-he) Downriver State Park near Pierre, (the locals pronounce is Peer) South Dakota. Oahe is a Dakota Sioux word meaning "a place to stand upon." We will be volunteering there and will be maintaining the nature trails. Every time we look at the map and see how far from Florida we will be, we tend to shake our heads and say, " WOW." Never in our wildest imaginations did we think at some point in our lives we would be able to spend two months in South Dakota. My biggest concern is the weather. We have researched what the normal weather temperature can be in April and into May in Pierre, South Dakota. It can still be quite cold and windy so we are taking heavy coats, scarves, caps and gloves, and I want to buy a pair of insulated work
