While money isn't everything - it is important to look up currency conversion rates before you travel abroad so you know what to expect.
Before booking my trip to the Republic of Georgia I was introduced to an interesting article
http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2013/04/my-hyperinflation-vacation/309263/.
The journalist Graeme Wood detailed his decision to vacation at the place that maximized the utility of the dollar - it ended up having very high inflation in the local currency - and that took him to a resort town in Iran.
While the Republic of Georgia is very very different than Iran some of my friends have asked about the conversion rate.
I will look to verify the following information I pulled from Numbeo.com, but in general - as you can imagine - you should be able to get more for your dollar in the Republic of Georgia.
If you find the data hard to review here is a link to their website -
