Sesame place is a theme park for kids based on the TV show "Sesame Street" featuring Elmo and his friends. You will find all the characters of Sesame street here, namely, Elmo -the main hero, Big BIrd, Cookie Monster, Zoe, Abby Caddabby, Bert and Ernie and Count Von Count.

Sesame place is a smaller (much smaller) version of Disneyland in the sense that it also has rides based on its characters, a parade of the characters at noon and night, and ofcourse, photos with the characters wherever they are found.

There are two types of rides - the dry ones and the wet ones. Most rides allow small children when they are accompanied by an adult. That was the good thing, coz Sid was able to come on all the rides with us. We loved the water rides, specially one called "The Counts Splash Castle". The highlight here is that water comes pouring down from a bucket that can hold upto 1000 gallons of water. It is so much fun. There is not one place in this castle where water wont spray/fall on you. Also, there are shows featuring the main characters that should not be missed. Personally, i

"Elmo Rocks" Show
think the "Elmo Rocks" show is the best.

We had a two day pass to Sesame Place (two day pass at the price of one ticket). This type of ticket enables you to split up the rides into two days- one for the dry rides and the other for the wet ones. It also allows you to do things in leisure and you are not in a hurry to cover everything in one day. You can book accomodation through Sesame Place (various options are available). Most of these hotels are located in New Jersey, only 15 miles away from the theme park. There are lot of eateries around here, especially Indian restaurants. We certainly dint have problems looking for good places to eat.

The good things about Sesame Place:
- Most rides allow kids to go on them. Only a few have restrictions based on hieght. There are rides for kids of all ages.
- A program called "Lunch with Elmo" is superb. Big Bird, Abby Caddabby, Count Von Count, Elmo and Cookie Monster come to this dining area where they give some performances. They also come to each table and take photos with the kids. Prior booking

Dont miss the bucket on top.
is necessary and this can be done while booking the tickets online.
-The shows are really cool.
-Water rides are brilliant.

The bad things (may be):
-The entry fee is far too high for a theme park of this size. I mean, $65 entry fee for disneyland is worth every cent of it.
-The choice of food is not all that great. And it is expensive.
