Ready, set, pack.... Well, starting the countdown to departure and I have several goals: not forget anything important, and somehow
squeeze the stuff I want to bring into a 22" rollaboard with a 16" duffle the slips over the top of the handle of the
rollaboard. My daypack and/or a messanger bag as carry-on's.
Let's see....5 weeks, temperatures between 40 and 95.... Ack! And I need my damn hiking boots... Plus, women
don't run around in shorts in Argentina. They're okay for hiking and the pool, but not touring towns or cities. And
we're staying in some fairly nice places where I can't exactly go in for supper in jeans and a t-shirt.
So, here's the list as of 9pm:
1 gortex shell
1 lightweight fleece jacket
1 pair lowcut highking boots
2 pair teva walking sandals (one leather, one fabric)
1 pair teva flip flops
1 pair black flat sandals
4 pair socks
5 pair underwear (microfibre quick drying)
2 nightgowns
1 robe/ coverup
1 bathing suit
3 bras
1 nice black print dress
1 raw silk sundress
1 lacoste like dress
1 dressy black slacks and vest
1 rayon burgundy
slacks
1 rayon gold slacks
2 khaki shorts
1 pull on black shorts
2 jeans or one jeans and one chinos
1 long green Indian cotton skirt
1 short jeans style striped skirt
3 lacoste type shirts:white, black, blue
2 sleevless shirts: black and green
2 sleevless undershirts: black and white
2 Indian cotton shirts: short sleeved print, long sleeved red
4 cotton shirts:aqua, 2 green embroidered, print
1 mesh shirt that's supposed to be warm in winter and cool in summer
1 dressy print shirt
2 three quarter sleeve somewhat dressy shirts
1 long sleeved shirt
1 t-shirt
2 sweaters: one for Bea and one for her Mother
Whew! I figure that will easily last me for 10 days, even being sweaty and wearing 2 things a day.
And believe it or not, it fits easily in the bags I want to use!
Electronics include: digital camera, small mp3 player and (I think) a battery charger. My card reader
so I can dump pics onto CD's. Meds and dopp bag.... A book! Maybe 2... 1-2 Guides, Diccionario
So, what am I forgetting?
