The First Council Casino is located just north of Newkirk, OK which is about 10 minutes from Ponca City. The casino has an attached hotel plus over 1000 slot machines. There are other casinos in the Ponce City area. The small town is host to an number of annual events including the fine Arts Festival, Downtown Halloween Carnival and the Ponce City Herb Festival.
