Cheerleading coaching 10-5-10
Hung around the apartment until Nate left for work, then off to Lowe’s. We needed some boards to put under the jacks so we could level the coach at the Moose parking area. While it was really nice, it was grassy and a bit wet, so couldn’t put the jacks down without something sturdy underneath. Got that accomplished and over to Supercuts. Each time I get my hair cut, it gets a little worse...going to have to let it grow out for a while and start over...oh, well...was cheap!! Stopped at the grocery store to pick up things for dinner the next few days. G fixed chicken tacos and I made salsa. Had dinner on the table when Meg got home 😊 And warmed it up when Nate arrived...he works until 10:30, so it’s usually after 11pm before he gets home.

Lazy morning...hung out with Nate until he left for work. G made us some “business cards” to give out while we’re on the road. Megan is the junior-high cheerleading coach, so we went over this afternoon to watch her “girls” in action at the football game. It was the 8th grade team and they won handily...34-6. We had
Glenn, Nate & Meg
Trying their hand at a pit stop in the NASCAR Hall of Fame put a roast in the oven, so had dinner ready when we got home. Watched a little playoff baseball and Nate came home a bit earlier today...nice to get to see him a little more.

Visited with Nate until time to take Megan lunch at school! She didn’t have much time before the kids were finished with their lunch, but at least we got to see her classroom...smart board included! Then Nate went to work and G & I were off to run errands. Found the Concord Post Office, then to Frugal McDoogal’s for some supplies for the weekend. Apple store to see if we can rid our laptop of the “pink” screen...going to have to send it in for repair, so will wait for Anaheim for that. Over to Costco to pick up a few things, then to Fedex to take Nate to dinner on his break...at Cookout...a fast food joint, but cheap and really good milkshakes!! Megan has a master’s class on Thursdays, so we arrived at the apartment just before she did and we all relaxed for a bit. Nate got home a bit earlier tonight, but still midnight before bedtime...

Took Nate to Subway
for lunch before he had to take off for work. I made some noodles and Glenn made shrimp wontons for dinner. We played dominos until Nate got home, and then Catch Phrase for way too long!!

Not moving too fast today!! We had intended to get to the Nascar Hall of Fame at 10am...think Nate was the only one up by then!! Finally made it downtown by 1pm and had some lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings and then into the Hall. It was very interesting...I didn’t think I’d enjoy it that much, but it was a really nice interactive display of NASCAR memorabilia. We needed a few things from the coach, so out to the Moose Lodge. We went inside and introduced the kids to the “regulars” there and visited a while. The other “campers” were in there and said they’re off to the racetrack tomorrow. Left there for some dinner at the Branchview Tavern. The kids like to go in there as it’s close to their apartment and the owner has been really friendly to them. Had a nice dinner, but were all tired, so an earlier evening!!

Off to watch football at Phil & Donna’s today. Megan spent a lot of time with their daughter when she lived in Buffalo and they have since moved to Charlotte. All four of them went in on the NFL package so they can watch the Bills play every weekend. We had some really good chicken wing dip that Nate made and chili that Donna made while we watched the Bills lose...back to the apartment where we played Cranium for a couple of rounds!

Nate had to get his car tabs renewed, so we were up and around a little earlier this morning. Got that taken care of and back to the apartment. Glenn made us some lunch, then Nate was off to work and Glenn had a nap. I made brownies for Megan’s “jewelry party” this evening. G didn’t want to hang around for it, so he was off to take Nate to “lunch” while Meg hosted the party. It was a Premier Jewelry party. Lasted a couple of hours, then G came back and we visited until Meg had to turn in for the night. Nate got home after 11, but I couldn’t even last until midnight!!
