my hardwork bruises!Hey there!!!!
Thought seeing as i have no facebook and no quick way to upload photos for those of you at home i would try this out.
As of tomorrow our campers will have been here for 2 weeks with 5 to go. Sometimes it feels like i've been here forever, other i can't believe they've been here for 2 weeks already!!!
Tonight we had our first show performance and i really honestly couldn't be happier. 6 days to rehearse 50 8-10 year olds in Annie (the condensed one hour version) and they pulled it off. It was funny and there were a few things but the camp loved it so i'm completely stoked about that.
Camp life is quite full on. We wake up at 7:30 (i get going a little earlier so i am personable), line up at 7:45, breakfast at 8, first period starts at 9:10, then 2 and 3, then lunch, then 4,5,6, shower hour, dinner, free play, evening activity, canteen, then bedtime. twice a week i have OD which means i sit on the porch of the bunk til 12:30 making sure the girls are ok and not sneaking out or anything.
My campers are gorgeous and i'm having a great time with them.
The theatre is completely hectic but oddly fulfilling. We start rehearsals for Beauty and the Beast on monday which should be interesting. tricky show to do.
We went to an amusement park on Wednesday which was good fun, although seeing as heights and speed are definately not my thing i spent most of the day sitting waiting for people at the bottom of rollercoasters. not to worry, still nice to get out of our little bubble for a day. 😊
