Not a bad shack
Last day of tour today and travelled from Boston to New York. On way went to Newport, Rhode Island...Oh, how the other half live. Holiday homes for the Vanderbilts, Kennedy's, Firestone etc etc. These homes are mansions and typically were used for 6 weeks a year! Houses for their servants, manicured grounds, yatchs...you name it. This is the area that the America's Cup yatch race originated I think. Anyway, beautiful area but you know, can't help but be mildly offended at the elitism and decadence.

Not much else happening today. Arrived at New York hotel about 5.00pm. Was feeling uncomfortable about how full my suitcase was (pull out handle isn't staying up now) so found a post office and sent some more stuff home. Expensive but feel more comfortable than dragging that around. Early night as have a 3am pickup to go to airport (up at about 2.45am) to go to Calgary then Banff. So, another travel day tomorrow.

Missing family. Hope you're all well...love you lots.

Cheers.
