Brooklyn Bridge
Walk from the Brooklyn side over to Manhattan after a pizza at Grimaldi's So my friend asked for some tips on where I went in New York and this is what I came up with...
Here's a quick tip if you have an iPhone!
Bookmark/Save any place you want to go to in "Maps"
When you get free WiFi you can do a route plan with Metro times. New York is one of the cities that you can use Metro times on google maps. Pretty helpful!
We used
www.airbnb.com for our accommodation.
You can rent apartments/rooms/B&B's etc. Pretty cheap and way more fun than a hotel, Genius!
We rented a place from this guy, John Vandersall
http://www.airbnb.com/users/show/22870 Highly recommend him!
These are my favourite places I went to...
Williamsburg, Brooklyn. 11211 It's pretty cool and chilled out in Williamsburg. It's where we stayed too. Loadsa cool bars like Union Pool, Barcade, The Knitting Factory, Commodore.
Check out www.freewilliamsburg.com for reviews/lists of restaurants.
Fette Sau - BBQ 354 Metropolitan Avenue
New York, NY 11211

www.fettesaubbq.com Opens at 5pm and closes 1am/2am
This is voted the best BBQ in the New York area. They have local beer and ciders on tap too.
Order your
Helicopter Ride
My sister surprised me with this as a present for Christmas. meat by the weight. I had beef brisket and pulled pork.1/2lb of meat was just enough for 2 people with the sides.
They cook the meat in a wood smoker BBQ for 8+ hours!
Opens at 5 and queues get mad so go early!
Have a beer across the road at the Knitting Factory or a few doors down at The Commodore(free arcade games)
It's in Williamsburg, Brooklyn so...
If you're coming from Manhattan Take the L train to Bedford or Lorimer St and walk 5 blocks
If you're coming from the South of Brooklyn take the G train to Metropoitan Ave / Grand St and walk 5 blocks.
If you go to one place from this list in Williamsburg then it HAS to be this one!! Worth the wait too.

Kellog's Diner
Egg's benedict, do it! the best pizza in New York but I think this is 5 times better!
It's voted the best pizza in the city by The New York Times so I agree with them.

Take the G train to Metropolitan Ave / Grand St
If you miss it you're an idiot because its right outside the subway entrance(north west exit)
We didn't eat anywhere else in Williamsburg worth raving about so that's it for food.

www.themeatballshop.com This place was AMAZING! It's between here and Fette Sau for the best meal.
The menu is genius. Laminated card, tick off what meat ball and sauce. Then choose if you want rice or spaghetti etc.
It's only small so it will be busy. We had a bottle of Prosecco for $32, worth it!
Take the F train to 2nd Ave Lower East Side. Stanton Street is the street below.
NYHC Tattoo shop is on the same street. Walk about 300 yards east and you'll see it. 127 Stanton Street.
Also an amazing bar called Maxfish is near to here. All the skaters and cool kids hang out here. I think it may have shut now though 😞

www.standburger.com Apparently the best burger in the city. I enjoyed my meal but ordered way too much!
You HAVE to order the Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake.
THE best shake I've ever had! Order a large. No point having a small one!
