Annual Sip and Slide 2009!

So Friday we headed out to the Catskills for the weekend for the 10th annual sip and slide! It was a much easier drive than to killington 2 years ago and this time we had a beautiful farmhouse B & B all to ourselves. It was perfect!

Before we left to go we got in some quality time with your new excersaucer. Your good buddy Murphy let you borrow his excersaucer and you love it. Your little toes just touch the bottom of the saucer and you started by batting at thing in the first day, and already you are doing more focused hitting and pulling stuff to your mouth, it is so awesome to watch you grow and learn.

There are a couple of pictures from our room. The place was gorgeous and it would be great in the spring and fall as well. In standard fashion we enjoyed the company of our friends for four days with late nights and happy lazy afternoons. We went tubing on Sunday afternoon tagging in with watching you, of course you were an angel and slept the whole time. You were busy getting over your first little baby cold, so sleep was the name of the game and you slept like a champ, you definitely get that ability from your daddy!

We didn't end up going outside with you too much, it did seem like a heat wave when it was in the 20's on Sunday😊 But your new hat looks great on you anyways!

In an exciting new twist we were able to take your three month old picture on a bearskin. Kind of disturbing really, but not as much as when the bear started eating you!! Thankfully you played later with it's little cub and found a scary looking cat-thing and bird to frolic with at the bar. Ah sigh. Nature.

Then later D and Trev played with Yahtzee and tried to tire him out, difficult with a puppy😊

OOhh and later you giggled. You honestly truly giggled and Mom started crying and daddy teased her, but it was so great. We don't have it on video yet, but we will. For right now we are all home sick and doing laundry. But what a great weekend!

Tubing was fun lite for everyone and just enough outdoor time. Alas we were unable to play interceptor😞 That is only for street-style no rules tubing, we'll do that when you're older😊

Thanks guys for organizing it and we can't wait for next year!

awesome 3rd month birthday
Wow what wonderful shots with the bear skin rug they will be really appreciated when Lena is about 16 and dating. Looks like it was a great weekend. I love the ski cap :)
