OK, we became "Those people": Sandra and I said when we started out that we didn't want to be "mission tourists" so we very purposely told our hosts in El Paso (the very gracious Bowmans of the BEAMM ministry) that we were there to check out the ministry and we didn't need to see any local tourist places. Thankfully, they didn't listen to us and took us to this beautiful spot which I highly recommend to anyone who is in the area. (The White Sands of New Mexico) I have just never seen anything quite like it. Super fine, talcum powder like sand in soft rolling hills with an unbelievable sunset and moonrise.
