Not a great travel day today...rainy, overcast, and high winds. Drove down Rt 1A along the coast of Rhode Island. There is definitely some money in RI. Incredible houses along the coast.
We left there on our way to New Haven, CT to see the Yale Campus.....not impressed. It was drizzling and overcast, which didn't help, but the area was not that attractive, and no place to park an RV. So, we left to see what else we could find in CT. Most of the historic areas were blocked by low clearance overpasses; challenging when driving an RV. Finally, we just decided to get out of CT.
Then, we hit I-95 going through New York City....50 minutes to go 4 miles over the Triboro Bridge.
Long day of driving.....or sitting. But, this was really the first day of prolonged bad traffic after 18 days; so we can't complain. And, were able to check off all of the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut).
