We decided to have another down day in this beautiful park. We slept in and took a 3 1/2 mile walk on path around the park. It has many facilities, from horsebackriding to ice-skating to miniature golf. On our walk, Daisy and I admired the horses. Later, Rich and I went to the Strategic Air command Museum and admired the planes and gaped at the missiles. On our way to eat dinner at the lodge, we spotted a flock of wild turkeys.
I forgot to mention that yesterday, as we passed Kearney (CAR-nee_, Nebraska), we waved for everyone in the Guthe Clan. Our relatives would be amazed at how tall corn can grow!

We went to sleep to the creaks of crickets and the sighs of cicadas.
